This workshop, which was presented on 7 February, 2022, focused on recent studies investigating the impact of COVID-19 on neuropathic pain. It addressed the development of neuropathic pain as a potential neurological complication of a SARS-CoV-2 infection, as well as described the effect of the pandemic on psychosocial functioning of patients suffering from chronic pain.

It addressed novel basic and translational mechanisms contributing to neuropathic pain, with a particular focus on proteomics and sex-specific molecular phenotyping in models of neuropathic pain.
