Amongst the broader international pain community there is currently a gap in understanding how complex regional pain syndrome (CPRS) presents in countries collectively termed here 'countries with less available information' (CLAI), i.e. outside Europe, Australia/New Zealand or North America.
The aim of this initiative is to bring together clinicians for CLAI countries, including developing countries as determined by the United Nations (WESP 2019), and others.
This is the second virtual Satellite within the 2021 IASP CRPS SIG initiative 'Global CRPS' includes presentations from CLAI countries over 3 continents, followed by discussion.
Learning Objective 1: Understand typical clinical presentations, and diagnostic challenges amongst patients with CRPS from a broad range of ethnicities and cultures.
Learning Objective 2: Appreciate 'on the ground' management challenges of CRPS, and how these might be approached.
Learning Objective 3: Learn about treatment options currently available to clinicians for CRPS and which approaches may be suitable to help us better understand best care.
